Latif Abubakar is a Playwright, Project Management Author and Trainer. Latif is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Project Managers (FAAPM) and a member of the Global Advisory Board. With over 12 years of experience in training and consulting Latif has trained hundreds of corporate executives across many industries and consulted for organisations such as the United Nations, World Bank, Embassy of Spain, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Multimedia Group, BBC, Action Aid, AirtelTigo, Tiger Eye PI, DANIDA, UKAID etc. Latif’s interest in promoting investments and entrepreneurship gain him an opportunity in 2010 and 2011 to organize workshops and make presentations on “Youth development and entrepreneurship” at the UN Youth Assembly in New York.
As a playwright with focus on theatre for development, Latif has written, directed and produced 19 full length plays that have been performed 102 times across the country to an audience base of 60,000. Latif has led Globe to become the fastest growing theatre company in Ghana with the widest coverage. He gained some international recognition via an interview on BBC world service on the topic “Resurgence of Theatre in Africa” and during his recent play that caught the eyes of the world.
